Stephanie Weber is the Field Policy Director for the Safe Routes to School National Partnership. She started with the National Partnership in 2007 as a consultant working on state policy issues in Virginia and moved into a managerial role in 2010. In her current capacity, she manages the work of the regional policy managers working in five regions – Atlanta, GA; the District of Columbia; the Pacific Northwest, the San Francisco Bay area; and Southern California. Stephanie provides technical assistance to the regional policy managers to ensure that they have current information and best practices on active transportation policies and Safe Routes to School to maximize the regional-level investments in Safe Routes to School.
Stephanie earned her B.S at UC Davis. She got her first taste in transportation policy, working in the California Highway Patrol’s public affairs office during college. Upon graduation from Davis, she worked in higher education and scientific research policy. Then, upon finding herself in a car-dominated community, embarked on a career in active transportation policy. Stephanie has a 14-year-old daughter and currently resides in Williamsburg, Virginia.
